Prize

The top team will spend three days in Chicago, Illinois to compete with other Big Ten University teams with a chance to be on a network TV reality show. Runners up will be awarded small prizes.

Garber Investment

The winning team will be eligible to participate in the Garber Practicum and potentially receive funding from the $5M Garber Fund. The Practicum is conducted through the MBA Program at the Smeal College of Business.

Launch Pad

The newest startup incubator at Penn State is the Launch Pad. The winning team, provided that they are all Penn State students, will receive free office space in 123 Keller Building, University Park, PA.

VC exposure

In addition to Garber funding, the Investor Pitch Competition represents the opportunity to gain other venture capital investment. Many of the judges are in the VC industry and participating in the competition is a chance to increase exposure therein.

Legal fees

In the event patenting is necessary for the winning pitch to move towards fruition, initial legal fees or advice will be provided for
